Principal’s Message

A woman with curly blonde hair smiles warmly at the camera.

My name is Corrie Hopper, and I am honored to serve as the Principal of Vern Patrick Elementary School in the Redmond School District. Born and raised in Oregon, I pursued my education in Idaho and Oregon before returning to Central Oregon to build my professional and personal life. I firmly believe that education is the greatest gift we can offer our youth. Each day provides our students with the opportunity to expand their knowledge, skills, and understanding of the world. As a parent of three wonderful children, I am convinced that educating our children is the most important investment we make daily.

Since 2006, I have been dedicated to the Redmond School District. My teaching career began as a Physical Education and Health teacher at both the elementary and middle school levels. I transitioned into administration as the Dean of Students at Obsidian Middle School in 2020 and later served as the Assistant Principal there for four years. I am proud to be part of the Redmond School District community. Win the day Panther Cubs!
